John Fisher
Family Camp - June Edition
June 25th-28th
John is one of the Elders at Journey. He feels incredibly blessed to be married to his wife Abby since 2006, and together they have three awesome kiddos. John is originally from Tennessee and transplanted here to Fargo-Moorhead in 2008.
He was a rebellious kid and lived apart from God until he was in high school when God rocked his world. He went to college at Western Kentucky University where the Lord called him out to pastor His people. He then attended seminary at Southern Seminary where he made it so apparent that missions and starting Churches was the plan God had for him!
John is passionate about leading people and movements that change peoples lives and communities.
One of the greatest joys he has in life is seeing peoples lives changed. How they grow and how the community grows because of the message is an incredible journey that he has dedicate his life to. John has previously led family camp chapel at Camp Joy and is excited to return. -

Alfred Tofibam
Middle School Week
July 19th-24th
Alfred holds a Master of Divinity from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky. He has been a staple, at Camp Joy, for multiple camps. A camper favorite!
In his spare time, Alfred enjoys writing Sunday school lessons and theological articles, and he is currently working on several book manuscripts that he hopes to publish. He is also actively involved in outreach at his church, where he helps coordinate English Language Learner (ELL) classes and a community garden.
For Alfred, the best part of following Jesus is His Word. He believes Scripture is truth and a continual source of encouragement, direction, wisdom, and comfort—sweeter than honey and central to his daily meditation. Through God’s Word, Alfred finds Christ, the Father, and God’s redemptive plan for the world, which he believes and eagerly awaits in its final fulfillment.
