    I love sharing who Jesus is with kids through the Gospel.

    What is your favorite memory of Camp Joy?

    I was playing counselor hunt, hiding in the back of a gator with some yard equipment on top of me. A camper noticed there was a staff member inside, so they chased the gator to hop on and search it. This meant that since they found me, they could push me in the lake fully clothed.

    What does it mean to you to serve campers through Christ?

    You get to show them who Christ is in different ways throughout the day, and they can share that with their community and teach others.

    What excites you about serving at Camp Joy?

    Knowing that campers go home and share the joys of their camp experiences with family and friends

    Why do you want to serve at Camp Joy this summer?

    Camp Joy is an amazing, Christian environment. The activities, the food, the games, the crafts are all amazing, but my favorite part is the people we are surrounded by, the staff, and the kids whose lives we get to touch.

    What is your favorite memory of Camp Joy?

    Switching it up and doing prayer walks with my cabin when I was a camper last year during cabin adventure time.

    What does it mean to you to serve campers through Christ?

    The bible says that we serve God by serving others. I love that we get to lead campers to a deeper connection with Christ, while also having fun with them. We always say “camp is for the campers”, and it is a fun and a good opportunity to be in a position where we must always look out for others first.

    What excites you about serving at Camp Joy?

    Whenever I’m there, there’s always a rush of excitement and anticipation of fun and what God is going to do, not only in the campers lives but in mine and other counselors

    The Campfire and to see everyone around it, it’s just so incredible

    It means attending to a campers needs, building relationships with campers to share the Gospel and guide them toward a personal relationship with Jesus and to provide an environment where campers feel safe and accepted

    That Christ who lives in me will work in and through me to be an example, leader, and bearer of the Light. Which I can only do with Christ who is my righteousness.

    Camp Joy has been a place of love, healing, and fun my whole childhood. I would love to give this summer’s campers the same meaningful experiences.

    What is your favorite memory of Camp Joy?

    My favorite Camp Joy memory is when my cabin’s jc worked in the kitchen and snuck us brownies before bed on the last night.

    What does it mean to you to serve campers through Christ?

    Serving campers through Christ means helping them grow spiritually and treating them with love and patience. It means putting their needs first and doing difficult tasks so they can draw closer to him.

    What excites you about serving at Camp Joy?

    I’m excited to work at Camp Joy because it’s so fun! Everyone is incredibly kind and it is inspiring to work alongside others who also have a love for Christ.

    Why do you want to serve at Camp Joy this summer?

    I love watching the Holy Spirit change the lives of kids. I get the opportunity to literally watch kids lives be completely transformed, it is so rewarding and I will always be thrilled to be able to be part of that moment.

    What is your favorite memory of Camp Joy?

    The last night of high school camp last year, we did an alter call, and they told us to stay in the chapel as long as we wanted to. We ended up singing a cappella for two hours. Everything from hymns to favorite modern worship songs, 50 kids led only by the Holy Spirit praising God at the top of their lungs. I will never forget that feeling.

    What does it mean to you to serve campers through Christ?

    Serving in every little moment. Our goal is to be Christs ambassadors, so we are to just radiate the light of Christ in front of campers. It doesn’t matter if it is talking to a camper about Jesus or if it is cleaning the bathroom at 6am. Whatever we do we do it with a good attitude and we do everything to make this camp an unforgettable experience for every camper.

    What excites you about serving at Camp Joy?

    I cannot wait to work with the kids again. The most rewarding moment in the world is watching kids receive Jesus into their hearts. I am so blessed to be part of this work. I am so excited to be a fun goofy counselor that lets the kids have fun and more importantly shows them what it means to be a follower of Jesus.

    Favorite Camp Joy game?

    Underground Church! The campers goal is to deliver Bible verses to a hidden church (a counselor moving around camp with a bucket), while the “Roman Soldiers” try to capture the verses from the campers. If you don’t want the verse to be taken you have to memorize it!

    I want to spread the joy of Jesus with all the kids that get to come and hang out with us.

    Last summer, there was a night chapel where we just kept singing our own songs for an extra like 45 mins.

    It means inspiring them to live for Christ by sharing ourselves with others.

    It means putting the campers first and bringing them closer to God. We are called to be the hands and feet of Jesus. Guiding these kids on their faith journey is doing just that.

    I want to serve at camp to serve the Lord however He calls! It’s such a privilege to counsel and mentor kids, even for the short weeks we have with them.

    Why do you want to serve at Camp Joy this summer?

    This place has truly been a home away from home for me for quite some time now. There is something so special about it. The people, the activities, and the growth that happens here. I love Jesus, and I love working with kids, so I want to use the gifts God has given me to help bring children closer to Christ while creating an unforgettable camp experience!

    What is your favorite memory of Camp Joy?

    The last chapel of the week is always emotional and spiritual in so many ways. It’s such a special moment where you can truly feel the presence of God and reflect on how He has moved throughout the week.

    What does it mean to you to serve campers through Christ?

    Serving campers through Christ to me means teaching kids about Jesus and being there for them as they grow in their faith. It’s really special getting to pour into their lives, and my hope is that every camper leaves a little closer to God.

    What excites you about serving at Camp Joy?

    What excites me most about camp is the environment and the community we get to be part of. I love everything that comes with it, the food, the games, chapel, singing songs together, and ending the week around the campfire. It’s all the little things that make camp so special.
