Our Team

  • Executive Director: Tyler T. Tracy

Tyler Tracy is an experienced leader with more than 20 years in leadership, communication, sales, and customer service across sports, recreation, ministry, and education. Known for his ability to inspire teams, manage complex projects, and build strong relationships, Tyler thrives in dynamic environments. A strategic problem-solver, he brings both professionalism and a heart for service to every role he takes on.

Tyler holds a Master’s in Leadership in Physical Education and Sport and a Bachelor’s in Recreation Management, with a minor in Hospitality and Tourism, from North Dakota State University.

Throughout his career, Tyler has served in key leadership positions, Program Coordinator and Lecturer for NDSU Sport Management, Executive Director of the North Dakota Soccer Association, Executive Director of Fargo Babe Ruth League, and Activities Director at Park Christian School.

Ministry and service have always been central to Tyler’s life. Before joining Camp Joy full-time, he served for five years as Youth Group Director at Calvary Church at Village Green, launched the church’s Trunk or Treat event, volunteered regularly in the nursery, and led VBS games whenever needed. His blend of recreation, leadership, and ministry made the transition to Camp Joy’s Executive Director, a role he stepped into on November 1, 2023, a natural calling.

Tyler and his family have been part of Camp Joy since 2014, and he previously served on the Camp Joy Board from 2022–2023. He also contributes to governance and strategic planning through board involvement, including past service with Camp Joy and current service with the North Dakota Soccer Association.

Tyler and his wife, Amanda, have been married for 19 years and live in Fargo, ND, with their four children (ages 16, 13, 11, and 8). They attend Salem Evangelical Free Church and cherish time together outdoors. Tyler enjoys a round of golf with friends and will never pass up a quiet evening around a lakeside fire.

Rooted in his passion for mentorship, innovation, faith, and community impact, Tyler is committed to using his experience in nonprofit leadership and ministry to help more youth encounter Jesus and grow in their walk with Him.
